What is 3LPE coated pipe?
3LPE Coated Pipes consist of 3 layers for pipeline coating.
Layer 1 consists of Fusion Bonded Epoxy. This later protects against corrosion and is fusion bonded with the blasted steel surface.
Layer 2 is a copolymer adhesive that has excellent chemical bonding to the inner layer and the top layer of polyethylene.
Layer 3 is the layer of polyethylene used for protection against any physical damage to the pipes.
3PE can strengthen the pipeline’s mechanical properties, high electrical resistance, waterproof, and wearable, anti-aging. AFTER IMPROVING THE MATERIALS AND PROCESSES OF THE (INNER) AND OUTER
ANTI-CORROSION LAYERS, THE PRODUCT SHINES IN THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS

The outer wall is made of high—density cross—linked polyethylene, which has higher hardness and wear resistance. The rubber wheel wear test shows that the wear weight loss is < 15mg, and the wear weight loss of the inner wall epoxy resin coating is <20mg. Reference standard: SY/T 0442—2010 "Technical Standard for Internal Anticorrosion Layer of Fusion—bonded Epoxy Powder for Steel Pipes".
2. It finds use under harsh conditions and has a long anti—corrosion life. Heavy anti—corrosion coatings can generally be used for 50 to 70 years in chemical, atmospheric and marine environments. Even in acid, alkali, salt and solvent media, and under certain temperature conditions, it can be used for more than 50 years.
3. The coating has excellent weather resistance, anti—aging, anti—radiation, wear resistance, impact resistance, high temperature and low temperature resistance, and stable conductivity; its resistivity can meet the anti—static requirements and ensure the long life of the coating.
4. Strong adhesion: The coating has strong bonding with the substrate. The coating composition contains hydroxyl groups (—OH). The metal substrate provides positive ions, which can form chemical bonds. With the help of the coupling agent in the coating, it can even achieve covalent chain bonding. Under the maintenance of the spatial network structure, the metal, metal oxide nanomaterials and rare earth oxide ultrafine powders contained in the coating composition help the coating form a dense interface transition layer, so that its comprehensive thermodynamic properties match those of the substrate.
