Large Diameter Sawh Pipe 914mm OD 12.0mm WT API 5L Carbon Steel

SAWH large diameter pipes represent a significant advancement in pipeline engineering. Manufactured using the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) technique with helical (spiral) forming process, these pipes are specifically engineered for large diameter applications.

This production method combines efficient manufacturing with high-quality welds, enabling creation of pipes in a wide range of sizes to meet diverse industrial requirements.

The production begins with helical forming of steel coils. A continuous steel strip is fed into a forming machine where it's gradually bent into a helical shape. This innovative process allows creation of pipes with diameters significantly larger than those produced by straight-seam welding methods.

The helix angle can be precisely adjusted to control the pipe's geometry and mechanical properties, ensuring optimal performance for specific applications.
